About The Position

The Parts Delivery Driver operates company vehicles to pick up and deliver parts and equipment from local sources to dealerships, customers, wholesale accounts, and vendors. The role includes verifying delivery items, collecting payment when required, obtaining recipient signatures, maintaining accurate daily logs, and submitting paperwork and undelivered parts each day. Drivers unload the truck each night and assist with warehouse activities as assigned.

The driver is responsible for regularly inspecting and maintaining the company vehicle, including checking fluids, tires, lights, signals, and fuel, keeping the vehicle clean, and ensuring required inspections are performed. The role requires compliance with state commercial vehicle laws and road laws, safe driving within legal speed limits, professional and courteous customer service, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Unrestricted driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, twist, and lift heavy objects as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
• Genuine, helpful, and friendly demeanor.
• Strong work ethic and neat, clean, professional appearance.
• Must wear steel-toed boots.
• Must wear hearing and eye protection when needed.
• Able to travel long distances by car.

Responsibilities

• Verify part numbers against delivery invoices and/or packing slips to ensure deliveries are accurate.
• Collect payment upon delivery and accept cash or checks as necessary.
• Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspections, including checks of fluids, tires, lights, signals, warning indicators, appearance, and fuel.
• Comply with state commercial vehicle laws and follow road laws and legal speed limits.
• Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, wholesale accounts, dealerships, and vendors.
• Provide parts and accessories in a timely manner and notify customers when deliveries are received.
• Greet customers promptly, respectfully, and in a friendly manner.
• Keep accurate daily logs and obtain recipients’ signatures for delivery entries.
• Unload the truck each night and turn in paperwork and undelivered parts daily.
• Perform basic truck maintenance, including refueling, checking fluid levels, cleaning the vehicle, and ensuring required inspections are performed.
• Assist with warehouse activities and perform other duties as assigned.
• Treat customers with respect and contribute to a safe work environment.
