About The Position

The Parts Delivery Driver delivers parts to customers and assists with warehouse operations. The role involves operating a truck or van and requires safe, responsible driving. The driver also performs related vehicle checks and maintenance, handles freight and delivery documentation, loads and unloads cargo, and helps in the warehouse during downtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Class A CDL.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to physically lift up to 75 pounds.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately deliver and distribute freight to Fabick branches and drop boxes.
• Maintain good working relationships with Fabick branch facilities.
• Represent Fabick Cat safely and professionally while in transit.
• Notify company supervisors and mechanics of vehicle problems.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil, and water.
• Record the name, date, and freight information on trip sheets, including pickup and drop-off times and locations.
• Complete accident reports when necessary.
• Inspect vehicles before driving to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Check load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Secure cargo for transport.
• Read bills of lading to determine assignment details.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.
• Load and unload the van, assist others with loading and unloading, and operate special loading-related equipment and other equipment as necessary.
• Assist in the warehouse during downtime.
