About The Position
Mark Porter Auto Group is seeking a customer-focused Parts Counterperson to join their team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, organized, and enjoy working in a collaborative dealership environment to efficiently and accurately provide customers and technicians with the correct parts.
Requirements
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or greater
- Dependable team player with a strong work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a Parts Counterperson or in an automotive parts role preferred
- Dealer Management System (DMS) experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service while assisting with parts requests, special orders, and delivery status inquiries
- Collaborate with service and other departments to support vehicle repairs
- Work with the Parts Manager to maintain and organize inventory
- Properly store, handle, and dispose of batteries and other regulated materials
- Operate forklift or pallet jack as needed
- Deliver parts to customers or other locations as required
- Follow federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the automotive industry
- Perform other duties as assigned
