About The Position
GTG Peterbilt – Waterloo, a premier provider of quality products and services to commercial equipment end users, has an immediate opening for a Parts Counter Specialist in Waterloo, IA. The successful candidate will assist internal and external customers by helping to identify needed parts, striving to provide exceptional customer service, and advising customers on available parts and services. This role operates on a Monday – Friday work week.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate updates to internal and external customers.
- Mechanical knowledge is a must.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- 1 year of Sales/Customer Service experience.
- 1 year of Automotive or Truck Parts experience.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive or truck part related experience is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics and customers with acquiring parts.
- Locate parts mechanics might need to finish a job.
- Answer customer questions and provide price quotes in-person and over the phone.
- Sell parts to help achieve sales goals.
- Stock shelves on display and in the warehouse.
- Pull customer orders.
- Maintain inventory and perform cycle counts.
- Assist with core returns.
