About The Position

The Parts Counter Salesperson is responsible for assisting customers and technicians in identifying, procuring, and invoicing parts for heavy-duty trucks. This role requires strong product knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage parts orders efficiently to support the service department and retail sales.

Requirements

  • Able to work through multiple transactions and/or interactions simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Heavy Duty Truck parts
  • Knowledge of Medium Duty Truck parts
  • Basic computer usage and navigation knowledge.
  • Able to speak precisely and clearly.
  • Detailed orientated – verbal, written, and observational.
  • Cash Handling and Balancing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
  • Handling parts, tools, and materials regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers at the parts counter, in person and by phone.
  • Identify correct parts through online systems and manufacturer resources.
  • Provide price quotes, availability, and lead times to customers and technicians.
  • Process parts orders, invoices, returns, and exchanges accurately.
  • Maintain knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, accessories, and industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
