About The Position

The Parts Counter Sales representative is responsible for assisting customers and service technicians in identifying, locating, and purchasing the correct parts and accessories. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where accuracy and efficiency are key.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of automotive parts experience preferred; dealership or Ford parts experience a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
  • Experience with dealership management and parts catalog systems (Dealertrack, CDK, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.
  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers, technicians, and wholesale accounts with parts inquiries and orders in person, by phone, and by email.
  • Identify correct parts using electronic catalog systems and verify availability and pricing.
  • Process parts orders, invoices, and returns accurately in the dealership management system.
  • Maintain stock levels, inventory accuracy, and product displays.
  • Coordinate with the service department to ensure timely delivery of parts for repair orders.
  • Support wholesale and fleet accounts with quotes, parts delivery coordination, and relationship management.
  • Handle warranty parts processing and return procedures in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Stay informed on new products, accessories, and manufacturer updates.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
