Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Job Purpose: We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parts Counter Representative to be the face of our company. The ideal candidate will not only possess a strong technical understanding of diesel engines but will also embrace and promote our core values in every customer interaction. As a Parts Counter Representative, you play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive accurate and timely assistance in obtaining the right parts for their diesel equipment. Requirements

Greater than 3 years of counter experience
Able to work alone
Understands all basic truck systems
Able to use Business System for daily tasks
Able to use all E-Portal programs
Able to intelligently talk to customers
Able to perform cycle-counts accurately
Able to order and check-in parts orders
Participated in Advanced Training
Understands all-makes – can identify common commodity parts
Able to assist PM with some admin duties
Cross-trained and able to fill in at all parts positions
Able to train new hires
High School or equivalent
Previous customer service experience
Automotive or truck parts related experience a plus
Intermediate Computer skills

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service for our retail parts business by greeting customers, assisting in parts selection, answering questions, providing price quotes, informing customers of companion part requirements and specials in-person and over the phone, and keeping customers informed on the status of special order and back-order parts.
Greet customers warmly, create a welcoming environment, and handle customer returns with professionalism and courtesy.
Assist mechanics with acquiring parts, locate and secure parts from various vendors for shop jobs, and stay updated on industry trends and new products.
Take initiative to improve processes, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to the overall success of the parts department.
Receive, locate, bill, and fulfill orders accurately and efficiently, and help control and maintain inventory to minimize waste and loss.
Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting business objectives.
