Parts Counter Person
About The Position
Rare, full-time opening in our parts department for an experienced parts counter position. Primary job functions include but are not limited to; retail and technician counter operations, fielding retail and wholesale calls, preparing online body order quotes, assisting in all phases of stock related functions. Prior experience in an automotive parts related position required, dealership experience preferred, Honda or Acura a plus. Experience in an automotive related parts position outside of a dealership setting will be considered with the right experience and enthusiasm to learn. Marin Acura’s ideal Parts Counterperson will have strong familiarity with all things automotive, will bring a high level of customer care to the job every day.
Requirements
- Prior experience in an automotive parts related position required
- Dealership experience preferred
- Honda or Acura a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive and have fun in a busy, fast-paced retail environment
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid driver license
- Reliable transportation
- Capable of lifting and moving items of up to 45 pounds
- Pass a background & drug screen
- Possess an upbeat, positive attitude, passionate about what they do, and thrives on being self- motivated as well as an important part of a team
- Reliable and dependable team member
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reynolds and Reynolds DMS
- Google Workspace Software (GMAIL, Sheets, Drive, Docs, Meet)
- Knowledge of office software
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
Nice To Haves
- Dealership experience preferred
