About The Position

South Tacoma Honda is seeking a motivated Parts Counter Associate to support our service department, technicians, and retail customers. In this role, you'll help ensure the right parts are available at the right time, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our dealership operations. Requirements

  • Previous automotive parts experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer and data entry proficiency
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to lift and move parts and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Honda dealership or OEM parts experience
  • Familiarity with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar dealership management systems
  • Automotive parts inventory experience
  • Knowledge of automotive components and repair terminology

Responsibilities

  • Assist service technicians, advisors, and retail customers with parts requests
  • Accurately identify and source parts using manufacturer catalogs and dealership systems
  • Process parts sales, invoices, and purchase orders
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels
  • Receive, verify, and stock incoming parts shipments
  • Pull and stage parts for service department repair orders
  • Monitor backorders and communicate updates to customers and team members
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department
  • Promote additional parts and accessories when appropriate
  • Follow all dealership procedures and manufacturer guidelines
