About The Position

The Parts Coordinator is responsible for ensuring customers have the necessary parts to keep major components (engines, compressors, control panels, etc.) operating in revenue service. This role involves ordering parts from vendors to maintain minimum stocking levels, receiving parts, fulfilling customer orders from inventory, and shipping parts to customers. The position also requires maintaining accurate inventory records, assisting customers in identifying correct parts, and staying informed about part availability and potential alternatives. Additionally, the Parts Coordinator will participate in training programs, assist with warranty claims, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with inventory principles and warehouse management.
  • Ability to drive a forklift.
  • Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office application package, and ERP & MRP database driven software.
  • Good organizational and project planning skills.
  • 4+ years of working experience in a warehouse, purchasing, or inventory role.
  • Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use a ladder.
  • Ability to type on a keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stare at a computer monitor for prolonged time periods.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate verbally using a telephone.
  • Vision required: 20/40 with or without corrective lenses to accurately read all related distribution documents and computer monitor screens.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher education.
  • Oilfield equipment, preferably compressor, parts sales experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge telephone calls, voicemail, and electronic mail promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of parts ordered, received, sold, and shipped.
  • Generate and transmit information on parts quantities, pricing, and delivery charges for customer invoicing.
  • Inspect parts for defects and specification compliance.
  • Assist customer personnel in determining the correct parts to order based on descriptions and package location, consulting "as built" engineering drawings.
  • Read vendor catalogs to determine part stock numbers and pricing.
  • Maintain awareness of vendor discontinuance of parts and identify potential aftermarket sources.
  • Generate and transmit purchase orders for parts to vendors.
  • Receive ordered parts, count, inspect, and store them consistently in appropriate locations.
  • Record receipt of ordered parts and their storage locations to support vendor invoice payment.
  • Pick and package parts orders, weigh outgoing packages, prepare shipping labels, and contact delivery services for package pickup.
  • Inform customers of shipment dates, times, estimated arrival, and tracking numbers.
  • Remove parts shipped to customers from inventory records and transmit information for customer billing.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance compressor products and computer system knowledge.
  • Assist with warranty claims per manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Work weekends and after hours when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
