About The Position

The Parts Box Truck Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery and pickup of parts and equipment using a company-owned non-CDL box truck. This position serves as a key customer contact by providing professional service while ensuring all deliveries, documentation, and vehicle inspections are completed in accordance with company policies and safety standards. In addition to deliveries, this role supports warehouse operations by assisting with receiving, stocking, pulling orders, packaging, and maintaining an organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to operate a non-CDL box truck safely.
  • Ability to pass company driving requirements.
  • Basic computer and mobile device skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work overtime or flexible schedule as needed.
  • Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
  • Sit; stand; walk; bend; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally climb or balance and taste or smell.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
  • Warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
  • Heavy equipment, construction, industrial, or automotive parts experience preferred.
  • Completion of company-approved Smith System Driver Training and box truck/Large Truck Safety Training, if applicable.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and pick up parts, cores, and supplies in a safe and timely manner using a company box truck.
  • Verify, load, secure, and unload orders while maintaining accurate delivery documentation.
  • Plan delivery routes and communicate delivery status, delays, or customer concerns as needed.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness and safe operation of assigned vehicle.
  • Receive, stock, pull, stage, and prepare inventory for customer orders and deliveries.
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate warehouse organization.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as trained.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, training requirements, and PPE guidelines.
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service and represent the company positively during all customer interactions.
  • Report accidents, injuries, vehicle incidents, equipment issues, and unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Support other warehouse and delivery-related duties as assigned.
