About The Position

This position is responsible for issuing parts and supplies to the Production and Maintenance departments. The role involves data entry for inventory and maintenance computer systems, issuing parts to mechanics, receiving and shipping inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The Parts Attendant will also adjust inventory levels in Movex and input/issue parts and data from work orders into Movex. This role is on Day Shift, from 6:30 am to 3 pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Computer skill required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Basic understanding of a CMMS program.
  • Basic understanding of running a parts room.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Washington State Driver's License.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear and smell.
  • Frequently required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Issue parts and supplies for Production and Maintenance departments.
  • Provide data entry in support of inventory and maintenance computer systems.
  • Issue parts to all mechanics.
  • Receive and ship inventory as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adjust inventory levels in Movex.
  • Input and issue parts and data from work orders into Movex.
  • Determine correct parts and supply levels.
  • Organize, label, and maintain parts room layout and shelving.
  • Maintain inventory levels using Movex.
  • Check stock to determine inventory levels.
  • Anticipate needed materials.
  • Place and expedite orders for materials.
  • Verify the receipt of materials, checking merchandise for damage and verifying freight bills.
  • Input retro work orders into Movex.
  • Issue parts to work orders.
  • Input data generated from inspection checklists into work requests.
  • Input scheduled work orders and service definitions.
  • Print work orders.
  • Maintain accurate work list and work order bins.
  • Exchange information with co-workers and management.
  • Research parts and equipment for proper application.
  • Answer questions.
  • Input and generate data.
  • Complete forms.
  • Review "Purchase Requests" and follow-up on any discrepancies.
  • Receive parts and compare packing lists to parts received.
  • Drive company vehicles to pick up parts from local vendors.
  • Use computer system to maintain inventory.
  • Use standard office equipment as needed (copy and fax machines, etc.).
  • Keep parts office and room clean and follow GMP's.
  • Update specification files.
  • Identify items requested.
  • Issue parts from stock.
  • Verify customer requests.
  • Check and verify specifications and inventory.
  • Code and complete request forms.
  • Obtain supervisor approval.
  • Ensure a complete and clear understanding of all Lock-out Tag-out procedures.
  • Use proper Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures at all times.
  • Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Sweep floors and remove debris.
  • Keep work area clean and rinse when necessary.
  • Follow proper cleaning procedures.
  • Follow proper handling procedures when working with chemicals.
  • Maintain area of responsibility to meet GMP standards.
  • Follow LOTO (lock out/ tag out) procedures when necessary.
