About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is currently seeking a Parts Technician (Assistant Foreman) in the Huntsville, AL SMA, reporting to the Shop/Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Requirements

Work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection
Must have good, reliable transportation to make it to and from work
Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision
Must be Drug Free and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and possess a Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
Good Communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Team management and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel)
Accounts receivable/accounts payable experience

Nice To Haves

Service writer experience in equipment field a plus

Responsibilities

Communicate with Tech about needed parts for repairs
Order parts from various vendors
Create PO’s for parts orders
Communicate with foreman on parts arrival vs back orders
Assist foreman with scheduling if he is out of office
Handles administrative tasks for the service team members to keep the project running smoothly. Including ordering equipment supplies, managing deadlines, workflow, and scheduling
Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Uncompromising focus on safety excellence
