About The Position

As a Parts Assistant you help keep all the parts department and warehouse clean and organized. Work with mechanics and supervisors in shop and on the road for ordering parts, getting parts to shelf for pick up.

Requirements

  • Two years of previous experience in working in a parts department
  • Effectively negotiate with others
  • Make decision and solve problems
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime during busy periods (including rotating Saturday’s)
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of Company information
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and outside the organization
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others

Responsibilities

  • Order and supply parts for each department as needed
  • Perform price comparisons to ensure the best price is obtained
  • Prepare and process orders for supplies
  • Maintain records of supplies ordered and received
  • Store parts according to a prearranged system
  • Take inventory of stock as necessary
  • Use computers to get pricing, track inventory, and maintain other lists and records
  • Review and submit invoices to Accounts Payable for payment
  • Deliver parts to worksites as needed
  • Organize, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines
  • Performs other tasks as needed
  • Complies with Company Safety Program
