About The Position

Peak JCB is seeking a Parts and Service Advisor to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is responsible for maintaining established effective parts department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. The advisor will use proprietary software to manage and sell construction parts inventory, interact with customers via phone, walk-in, and online channels, and fulfill their requests for parts and service. They will also interact with shop technicians, oversee customer work orders from creation to close and invoicing, place orders with suppliers, manage freight expenses, handle daily shipping and receiving, and complete all necessary paperwork. Maintaining customer communication regarding parts orders and providing updates is crucial. The advisor will also contribute to the ongoing efficiency and improvement of the department by making updates and responding to new developments. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Sales and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization and mathematical skills to manage inventory, pricing and estimates.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanical and parts knowledge and experience sufficient to work closely with parts in inventory.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a parts, service or inventory department.
  • Must have driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with construction equipment a plus, but not required.
  • Prior experience with JCB parts and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain established effective parts department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Use proprietary software to lookup, manage and sell our construction parts inventory.
  • Customer interaction, answering phones, answering questions, finalizing sales and updating customers.
  • Fulfill all phone, walk-in and online customer requests for parts & service.
  • Interaction with shop technicians providing parts for repairs.
  • Oversees customer work orders from creation to close and invoicing.
  • Place orders with suppliers.
  • Freight expense control.
  • Maintain daily shipping and receiving.
  • Complete and file all parts department paperwork.
  • Maintain communication with customers on parts ordering, wait times, and provide updates as needed.
  • Ensure ongoing efficiencies and improvement of the department by making updates and responding to new developments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
