Parts Advisor
About The Position
The Parts Advisor will be responsible for daily interaction with customers to promote specialized product needs and installations. This role involves reviewing jobs for proper sizing, colors, and placement before scheduling installation. The advisor will maintain and update prepayment logs, keep customers informed of work progress, and schedule installation appointments. Additionally, they will monitor daily parts traffic, receive parts for installations, and inspect vehicles to ensure correct parts are ordered. The position also requires providing excellent customer service, maintaining a safe and clean work area, and potentially cross-training for other duties.
Requirements
- Ability to work daily on a computer and perform internet searches as needed
- Excellent organization and follow up skills are required
- Valid driver's license required
- May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
- Periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- At least one year of sales experience is preferred
- At least one year of previous RV or camping product is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Service Department procedures and policies is preferred
