About The Position

Subaru of North Tampa, a Member of Morgan Auto Group, is looking to add a Parts Advisor to our team! We offer our associates great benefits and ongoing training and support. Experience is preferred; however, we will train the right person for the job! Our Parts Advisors make on average between $35,000. - $55,000. per year based on experience!

Requirements

  • Knowledge of automotive repairs and processes
  • Hardworking, team player, pays attention to detail
  • Availability to work potentially Monday-Sunday 7AM-6PM

Nice To Haves

  • Experience is preferred
  • Retail, wholesale parts sales experience along with Reynolds, Automated Computer experience ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide fast and courteous service to technicians, retail, and wholesale customers.
  • List and price out parts on repair orders and or counter tickets.
  • Write purchase orders for parts and sublet work as needed from outside suppliers and obtain management approval.
  • List and price out all sublet repair work on repair orders.
  • Properly input loss and sales into the inventory control system.
  • Maintain records of all special-order parts and notify the person who authorized the order of receipt.
  • Maintain a customer backorder file.
  • Maintain the special-order parts inventory in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Make sure technicians turn in all defective parts necessary for warranty scrap and tag them appropriately.
  • Help “scrap” parts held for factory claims with the factory representative.
  • Maintain the warranty return parts inventory in a clean and organized manner.
  • Participate in conducting a perpetual inventory.
  • Help maintain parts catalogs, price schedules, and other technical information and bulletins.
  • Keep work area clean, free of debris, safe and put away loose stock.
  • Accurately pull and double check order accuracy.
  • Timely and accurate daily transactions of receiving, shipping, and billing.
  • Perform inventory and cycle counts as required.
  • Proper handling of inventory to prevent damage.
  • Proper inspections of all shipments to ensure any damage, omission, inaccuracy, etc. are noted at time of receipt in writing on freight bill.
  • Secure and control access to warehouse and inventory. Nothing leaves without proper paperwork and signatures.
  • Make sure the warehouse is organized, clean, and well kept.
  • Make sure product is put away in designated area in a safe and reliable manner.
  • Assist warehouse manager in ensuring needed maintenance of building and vehicles.
  • Ensure that the building is open/closed/ secured.
  • Ensure we are following established policies including emergency action plan, fire and safety procedures, first aid kits, and forklift training.
