About The Position

Fortis Bank is a full-service premier commercial bank providing a wide range of financial services including self-directed retirement banking solutions. The Strategic Partnerships line of business manages the growth and long-term retention of key self-directed partnerships. The Partnerships Product Manager role will join the Strategic Partnerships group focused on the design and development of new and existing products and integrating self-directed providers into Fortis Bank’s infrastructure. This role also has the responsibility for managing the partnership product backlog and requires close coordination with compliance, information technology, operations, and software vendors. This individual will play a critical part in shaping the future of our self -directed technology offerings, leverage strategic thinking, and a client-centric approach.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with a focus in financial services, fintech, BaaS, platforms, or embedded services
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable product growth
  • Understanding of go-to-market strategy development and cross-functional execution.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Experience navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Translate partner agreements into clear, actionable product plans, work closely with Strategic Partnerships leadership to clarify requirements, coordinate internal teams, and deliver smooth launches that meet partner expectations.
  • Productize the integration layer by building reusable components, configuration tools, and internal dashboards that reduce developer dependency and accelerate onboarding of new providers.
  • Review integration opportunities within existing partner relationships that align with Fortis Bank’s growth objectives.
  • Execute product launches relevant to each partnership, including cross functional execution plans.
  • Conducts meetings with key internal/external partners and stakeholders to develop new products and enhance existing products using industry best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize partnership performance using data-driven insights via Cognos and Tableau reporting, ensuring alignment with KPIs and strategic goals.
  • Act as an internal advocate for partners, while upholding a high standard for performance, innovation, and value creation.
  • Collaborate closely with technology and marketing to support roadmaps and campaigns that enhance the success of strategic partners.
  • Enhance the self-directed provider onboarding process through portal, workflow enhancements, and other client application systems.
  • Act as a line of defense when product bugs arise – investigate issues, identify causes, and communicate fixes to relevant teams and/or software vendors.
  • Implement product feature tracking, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Assist in the definition and maintenance of high standards for quality, reliability, and scale across the product experience.
