About the Role MATTER is looking for a Partnerships Manager to join our Partnerships & Corporate Innovation team — someone who is passionate about the opportunity for new technologies to improve health and healthcare and who thrives on building strong, long-lasting client relationships. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a subset of MATTER’s partner accounts, ensuring high-quality execution across programs and engagements and delivering a concierge-level partner experience. You will work cross-functionally with internal MATTER teams to help partners achieve their objectives through creative, innovative solutions. The Partnerships Manager is both a relationship-builder and an execution-focused “doer,” able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The person in this role will:

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in account management, partnerships, client services, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-suite.
  • Solid experience with CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proven experience delivering client-focused solutions that address partner needs and objectives.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to brainstorm solutions, implement new processes and assess effectiveness.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Healthcare experience is required.
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or a related field.
  • Candidates for this position must live in the Chicago area.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all activities within a subset of MATTER partners.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships and develop trusted advisor relationships with partner stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Develop and manage timelines across key partner engagements to ensure clarity, accountability and on-time delivery.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal MATTER teams to accomplish partner objectives and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Identify, create and implement processes that align internal and external stakeholders and deliver a seamless, concierge-level partner experience.
  • Contribute to the exploration and pursuit of business development opportunities within existing accounts, from solution ideation through client presentation.
  • Demonstrate strong storytelling and presentation skills, including the ability to create compelling decks and present solutions to partners.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of MATTER’s solutions according to partner needs and objectives.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports on account status and support contract renewals.
  • Assist with challenging partner requests or issue escalations as needed.
