About The Position

As our Partnership Tax Intern, you will be involved in preparing partnership tax compliance deliverables like federal partnership income tax returns (Forms 1065), quarterly 704(b) estimates for HLBV, and capital/K-1 estimates. You will work a hybrid schedule from our Houston, TX offices. This internship is for the Fall semester from August 21, 2026 to December 31, 2026. Among your day to day activities you will support the Partnership Tax team in topics such as fixed assets, general ledger review, renewable credit analysis, tax research pertaining to Subchapter K, and assist in preparation of tax filings.

Requirements

  • At least a junior or senior (by end of fall 2026 semester) working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance.
  • Focus should be taxation and seeking real world experience/exposure in said field of study.
  • Desire to obtain your CPA.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principals: journal entries, debits/credits, and general understanding of taxes.
  • Working experience in EXCEL.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in developing and utilizing detailed, Excel-based workpapers.
  • Must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester.
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.

Benefits

  • Hourly Range: $23.50 USD hourly
