About The Position

AtomicVest is a fast-growing, mission-driven company building financial infrastructure that enables consumer-facing companies to offer investing experiences. Its platform supports capabilities including ESG investing and multi-currency trading across 60 global markets. The company has raised $55 million and is scaling its partner base. The Partner Support Engineer joins the Solutions Engineering function and owns strategic, high-touch technical issue resolution for Atomic's partners. Reporting to the Head of Solutions Engineering, this role is the front line for complex inbound partner requests: triaging production issues, debugging integrations, performing root-cause analysis, and responding within service-level agreements. The role supports a rapidly growing partner base and collaborates with Engineering, Partnerships, and Customer Support to resolve issues and improve support operations. Atomic is a remote-first company. Candidates based in the US are preferred, with the New York metro area or San Francisco Bay Area considered a plus.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in solutions engineering, technical support engineering, or partner/customer support engineering.
  • Experience owning inbound technical requests against a service-level agreement in a B2B or platform context.
  • Ability to debug API traffic, webhooks, and integration behavior without escalating by default.
  • Experience building and replaying requests with curl or Postman and reading raw HTTP requests and responses, including headers, status codes, and JSON payloads.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON payloads, HTTP status codes, and common integration patterns.
  • Webhook debugging experience, including delivery and retries, signature verification, and diagnosing missed, late, or duplicate events.
  • Working knowledge of API authentication, including API keys and HMAC request signing, as well as idempotency keys and retry behavior.
  • Ability to write SQL queries, including joins, filters, and aggregates, against PostgreSQL to trace records.
  • Experience scripting in Python or a similar language to reproduce issues, automate checks, and build internal tools.
  • Experience searching logs and traces in Datadog, Splunk, or a similar tool and following a request across services by trace ID.
  • Ability to read backend source code, ideally Go, to investigate platform behavior and root causes.
  • Comfort with Git/GitHub for reading code, history, and pull requests.
  • Clear, precise technical writing for partner engineering teams under time pressure, and judgment to distinguish partner configuration errors, documentation gaps, and platform defects.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple concurrent issues, and manage SLA timelines.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience at a B2B API platform or financial infrastructure company.
  • Experience writing partner-facing documentation, integration guides, or runbooks.
  • Experience with Temporal workflow history, gRPC/Protocol Buffers, or Retool.
  • Knowledge of money movement and brokerage, including ACH, wire/Fedwire, ACATS, custody, KYC/KYB, and transaction monitoring.
  • Experience with Plaid or other bank-linking integrations, or Svix and similar webhook infrastructure.
  • Experience with incident and ticketing tools such as PagerDuty, Jira/Jira Service Management, or Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Own complex inbound partner requests involving production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and respond within service-level agreements.
  • Triage issues to determine whether they result from partner configuration, documentation gaps, or platform defects requiring an engineering ticket.
  • Help non-technical internal teams, including Partnerships and Customer Support, resolve operational and integration-related issues requiring technical expertise.
  • Read and debug API traffic, webhooks, and integration behavior to diagnose partner issues without escalating by default.
  • Provide precise written technical explanations to partner engineering teams under time pressure.
  • Identify recurring integration patterns and failure modes and share insights with Engineering and Documentation teams.
  • Manage growing volumes of partner support requests as the partner base expands.
  • Maintain and improve internal tooling, runbooks, and documentation to speed resolution and reduce repeat issues.
  • Collaborate with Partnerships to support newly onboarded partners after launch.
  • Escalate genuine platform defects to Engineering with clear reproduction steps and business context.
  • Work with Customer Support on resolution workflows for end-user issues caused by partner integrations.
  • Contribute to self-service resources and partner-facing documentation.
