About The Position

The Head of MedTech is a senior leadership role responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of Trinity’s MedTech business. This role will focus on growing Trinity’s MedTech client base and team, while collaborating with Trinity leadership to integrate MedTech expertise into the company’s go-to-market and delivery approach. Key responsibilities include defining and owning Trinity’s MedTech strategy, leading business development efforts, building and managing a high-performing MedTech team, and ensuring cross-functional integration with other business units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a life science focus, Advanced degree with a life science focus, or an MBA with a demonstrated interest in the life science field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated expert in the healthcare and life sciences landscape with a focus on MedTech.
  • Demonstrated success with client development in a growth-oriented business environment.
  • Strong staff development experience.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Excellent quantitative skills and direct experience with complex commercial analyses.
  • Above average proficiency in MS Office Suite and other consulting-related software.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own Trinity’s MedTech strategy, including priority segments, client types, and solution offerings.
  • Own MedTech-specific business development strategy, including pipeline development, proposals, and account expansion.
  • Support senior-level pitches and external thought leadership to drive demand for MedTech offerings.
  • Build and lead a high-performing MedTech team.
  • Establish best practices, methodologies, and delivery standards for the MedTech team.
  • Foster a strong internal MedTech community.
  • Work closely with Commercial Strategy, Analytics, EVAP, and other business units to identify and execute MedTech-specific opportunities.
  • Have strong relationships and an established book of business with leading MedTech companies.
  • Source MedTech business by effectively managing existing accounts/clients and securing new accounts/clients.
  • Proactively engage staff in business development opportunities.
  • Be responsible for generating $3 to $5 million in revenue annually.
  • Provide intellectual leadership in developing the firm’s MedTech capabilities.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert on MedTech and contribute to thought leadership.
  • Lead internal and external initiatives that further the firm’s status and capabilities.
  • Be accountable for the overall progression of staff, with a focus on developing future management and leadership.
  • Lead and manage assigned teams, ensuring excellence in client deliverables and staff progression.
  • Proactively identify development opportunities for staff and supervisors, provide guidance, and facilitate their success.
  • Be a mentor and guide staff and supervisors on professional growth.
  • Oversee staff and supervisor training, identifying needs and facilitating opportunities.
  • Identify key contributors and high potential employees to ensure their retention.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of client projects, guiding teams and taking ownership of deliverables.
  • Set strategic direction for project activities, guiding supervisors on daily tasks and resource allocation.
  • Be an exemplary role model for producing quality results, ensuring high work ethics, professionalism, and encouraging teamwork.
