Partner Manager

SecureOpsMontreal, QC

About The Position

SecureOps is a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) delivering 24/7 security operations, managed detection and response (MDR), and SOC-as-a-Service to enterprise clients. Our ability to deliver best-in-class managed security depends on the strength of our relationships with leading technology vendors. We partner with companies like Fortinet and Microsoft to access the tools, programs, and support that power our services and set us apart in the market. We are looking for a Partner Manager who thrives on building relationships. In this role, you will be responsible for forging and deepening SecureOps' strategic partnerships with technology vendors — companies like Fortinet, Microsoft, and others whose platforms underpin the managed services we deliver to clients. This is a relationship-first role. You will represent SecureOps externally with vendor organizations, establishing SecureOps as a preferred MSSP partner, unlocking program benefits, and ensuring vendors are invested in our mutual success. You will work closely with our internal leadership, sales, and technical teams to translate strong vendor relationships into tangible business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technology partnerships, alliances, or vendor management — ideally within an MSSP or managed services environment.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with large technology vendors at the field and executive levels.
  • Solid understanding of how MSSP partner programs work, including program tiers, certifications, MDF, and MSSP-specific licensing models.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements, pricing structures, and partnership terms.
  • Familiarity with enterprise cybersecurity and networking technologies — including Fortinet, Microsoft security products, or similar platforms — is a strong advantage.
  • Self-starter who can independently identify and pursue new vendor relationships without a prescribed playbook.
  • Strong communicator with executive presence — comfortable representing SecureOps in external conversations with large vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working at or alongside an MSSP — understanding our business model from the inside gives you an immediate advantage.
  • Existing relationships within the Fortinet, Microsoft, or broader cybersecurity vendor ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with Fortinet Engage MSSP, Microsoft MISA, or similar MSSP-tier vendor programs.
  • Understanding of MSSP-specific licensing and consumption models (e.g., Fortinet FlexVM, Microsoft CSP/SPLA).
  • Active vendor certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Microsoft SC-series) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and establish new technology vendor partnerships that align with SecureOps' managed services strategy.
  • Serve as SecureOps' primary relationship owner with key vendor partners such as Fortinet, Microsoft, and others — building trusted relationships with vendor alliance managers, field sales teams, and executive sponsors.
  • Position SecureOps as a strategic MSSP partner within each vendor organization, ensuring we are top-of-mind for joint opportunities and vendor investment.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with vendor partners to strengthen alignment and surface new opportunities.
  • Navigate and enroll SecureOps into the right MSSP partner programs (e.g., Fortinet Engage MSSP, Microsoft MISA) to unlock preferred pricing, technical support, and co-marketing resources.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, MSSP licensing arrangements, and back-end incentives that improve SecureOps' cost structure and margins.
  • Secure and manage MDF (Market Development Funds), co-marketing opportunities, and vendor-funded resources on behalf of SecureOps.
  • Identify and claim rebates, performance incentives, and other financial benefits available through vendor programs.
  • Act as the internal advocate for each vendor partnership — keeping SecureOps leadership, sales, and delivery teams informed of program updates, new capabilities, and joint opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the technical and SOC teams to ensure vendor platforms are effectively integrated into SecureOps' service delivery.
  • Gather internal feedback on vendor products and programs and communicate it back to vendor contacts to shape the roadmap and program improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of partnership activity, pipeline influence, and program status in CRM.
