We are an agency committed to quality gender-responsive, trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing serious mental illness, development disabilities, and co-occurring disorders. Metrocare programs focus on the issues that matter most in the lives of the children, families, and adults we serve. The Forensic Family Partner is a peer specialist who draws from their own experience of the Juvenile Justice System to provide support and services to families enrolled in the Texas Correction Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments Juvenile Program. The Forensic Family Partner will be a past or current caregiver of a youth that has successfully completed or will complete Juvenile Probation. Forensic Family Partners are very knowledgeable of the mental health field as well as the Justice System and will assist families, particularly parents and/or caregivers, with the re-integration of their sentenced youth back into the community.
