About The Position

Ethic Tech, LLC is seeking a Partner Defense Planning Analyst who will support NATO's integration of Partner Nations into long-term defense-planning and partnership processes. The analyst will help develop and assess Individually Tailored Partnership Programs and Planning and Review Process products, coordinate military input across NATO organizations and Partner Nations, and analyze partner capability and interoperability gaps. The role includes reviewing NATO defense-planning guidance and policy developments, preparing assessment materials and senior-leader briefings, supporting bilateral and multilateral engagements, and providing regional and strategic analysis to inform partner modernization efforts.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree, master's or higher, in International Relations, International Security, International Development, Military Studies, Foreign Policy, Public Affairs, Political Science, or a related discipline; or attendance at a NATO or national military staff college at the OF-3 level or higher.
  • Experience working in foreign or international security, international cooperation, defense, or military affairs.
  • Experience in a defense- or security-related role within NATO, another international organization, or a national mission, delegation, or embassy to an international organization.
  • Working knowledge of defense planning, NATO partnerships, defense and security capacity building, or military capability development.
  • Experience analyzing long-term military capability needs, development priorities, or interoperability gaps.
  • Ability to interpret defense-planning guidance and translate it into assessments, recommendations, or partnership-planning products.
  • Experience coordinating with multinational stakeholders and drafting materials for or briefing senior military officers or equivalent civilian decision-makers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, collaborative software, and online research tools.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • An active NATO or national Secret clearance or higher.
  • Must have a valid passport from a NATO member nation without travel restrictions to NATO nations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience limited to operational planning for the immediate employment of existing forces is not sufficient for this position.
