Clark Wilson LLP is seeking a Partner with an established practice and demonstrated experience advising on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions to join their growing Commercial Real Estate group. Requirements

  • 7+ year call
  • Established practice
  • Demonstrated experience advising on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions
  • Skills and experience in commercial leasing for both landlords and tenants
  • Skills and experience in drafting and negotiating partnership, co-ownership, and joint venture agreements
  • Skills and experience in drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements
  • Skills and experience in advising on financing arrangements for a variety of investment and development projects
  • Skills and experience in Land Title Office filings, including subdivision and strata plan filings
  • Skills and experience in advising on commercial real estate development matters, including municipal and servicing agreements
  • Skills and experience in conducting due diligence reviews, analysis, reporting, and risk assessment
  • Skills and experience in structuring real estate acquisition, disposition, and financing transactions
  • An established client base
  • Demonstrated business development experience
  • Strong technical, drafting, and negotiation skills
  • Sound business judgment and a practical, client-focused approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Advising on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
  • Working closely with sophisticated clients on a broad range of commercial real estate matters across multiple asset classes and industries.
  • Contributing to the continued growth and development of the practice group.
  • Commercial leasing for both landlords and tenants.
  • Drafting and negotiating partnership, co-ownership, and joint venture agreements.
  • Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements.
  • Advising on financing arrangements for a variety of investment and development projects.
  • Land Title Office filings, including subdivision and strata plan filings.
  • Advising on commercial real estate development matters, including municipal and servicing agreements.
  • Conducting due diligence reviews, analysis, reporting, and risk assessment.
  • Structuring real estate acquisition, disposition, and financing transactions.
  • Demonstrating business development experience.
  • Supporting the growth and development of associates through active mentorship, training, and the delegation of meaningful client work and transaction experience.
