About The Position

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Partner and Mission Engagement Specialist located in Scott AFB, IL to support the Headquarters Cyber Capability Center (HQ CCC). The HQ CCC is charged with identifying cryptographic capability gaps across all operational domains—space, air, cyber, and ground—and with advancing Air Force (AF) Cryptographic Modernization (CM) initiatives and their associated ground, air, space, and weapons/munitions mission directives. Requirements

  • TS Clearance with SCI/SAP Eligibility.
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Minimum of two years of advanced staff experience with planning, organizing, and negotiating effectively with leading cross-functional teams using existing Task Management Tool (TMT) or other staff coordination standards, document reviews, program updates, and background papers to drive the adoption of critical recommendations .

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with strategic level NSA, DoD, and DAF security policies and procedures as they pertain to cryptographic and keying material, associated classification guides pertaining to cryptographic algorithms, equipment, and COMSEC keying material.

Responsibilities

  • Perform an investigative analysis of current Cryptographic Modernization (CM) practices and provide recommendations to improve, streamline, and manage CM and sustainment efforts.
  • Draft point papers, roadmaps, and presentations for HAF A6 use, aligning with senior leader and warfighter requirements.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on crypto implementation issues as requested. These included, not limited to, platform integration issues, impacts of decertification and replacement notices, fielding schedule impacts, background papers, briefing development support, and engagement with crypto stakeholders.
  • Assist customer liaison with Crypto Modernization by conducting studies, analyzing data, and providing recommendations.
  • Draft supporting documents like point papers and presentations to align with Strategic Cybersecurity Program (SCP) objectives and senior leader guidance.
  • Assist the HAF A6 representative with assessments of existing and emerging radio and crypto devices against communication standards to ensure compliance and develop Sensitive but Unclassified guidance to reduce reliance on NSA High Assurance radio/cryptographic devices.
