Reporting to the Supervisor, this position is responsible for will be required to perform multiple functions within the production area. This will include but not be limited to the efficient and effective operation of all related production equipment. They will also ensure that all operations and products meet or exceed government and company specifications and standards. MHE experience & operation is an asset. This role works closely with quality, and warehouse teams to support continuous improvement and minimize downtime. Schedule: variable shift schedule – AM & PM, weekday & weekends Hourly rate: $27.73 to $29.14

Requirements

  • Experience or ability to be trained in operating multiple pieces of processing equipment.
  • Demonstrated solid multi-tasking, problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated solid Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) understanding and compliance.
  • Proven communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Should exhibit initiative, good judgement, diligence, and have an excellent work and attendance record.
  • Physically capable of meeting job demands (e.g., standing for long periods)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented; able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • MHE experience & operation is an asset.
  • Experience in a food or dairy production environment (asset)
  • PC Windows based O/S experience an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Safely, efficiently and effectively operate production filling machines. (Correct weights, packing temperatures, labels & code dates). This involves running the machine at the required speed and meeting all Health and Safety, Food Safety and production requirements.
  • Changing over sizes and cleaning machine are required.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks using equipment safely and efficiently
  • Responsible for set-up, sanitizing, and wash up duties (CIP/COP) as applicable.
  • Inspect for product accuracy and report any damages or discrepancies
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic corrective actions
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility and perform general housekeeping duties
  • Update required documentation
  • Record shift data and support inventory tracking
  • Assist with unplanned tasks and perform other duties as assigned
