About The Position

Turning Point is seeking a Part-time Weekend General or Addiction Psychiatrist for their facility in Moultrie, GA. This role involves providing psychiatric care to adult patients with dual diagnosis or substance abuse issues. The position is part-time, W2 employed, with pro-rated benefits, and requires working 10-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, totaling 20 hours per week. The facility offers a full continuum of care and utilizes a treatment philosophy that combines bio-psychosocial therapy with the 12-step recovery model. Psychiatrists will conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, provide follow-up care, participate in treatment team meetings, and complete patient documentation. The role also offers opportunities to work with residents and medical students, and benefits from administrative support from a fully staffed Medical Staff Services office. Turning Point is part of Universal Health Services (UHS), a large healthcare organization providing stability and consistent patient volume.

Requirements

M.D./D.O. with Board Eligibility/Certification in General Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry.
Successful completion of an accredited General Psychiatry residency.
Experience with Substance Abuse and Dual Diagnosis populations required.
Georgia medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.
