About The Position
Johnson Brothers, a leading family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer since 1953, is seeking a Part Time Weekend Merchandiser to service market areas including Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock, NC. This role primarily involves executing wine and beer category resets in retail accounts, with some weekday delivery assistance. When resets are not scheduled, responsibilities include building displays, merchandising shelves, executing Point of Sale (POS) materials, organizing POS in the warehouse, and providing delivery assistance by stocking shelves and coolers. A work schedule will be assigned weekly to fulfill the 20-hour per week job requirement. This is an opportunity for hard work to pay off with long-term career growth potential.
Requirements
- Knowledge of wholesale beverage industry and basic understanding of sales and marketing a plus
- Previous Merchandising Experience preferred.
- Reliable Transportation
- Professional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritize work.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years old and qualify for an ABC Wholesale Salesmen permit
- Must have an active driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record
- Must be able to lift 25-35 lbs. repeatedly
- Candidate must be able to pass criminal background and MVR.
