About The Position

This is a part-time custodian position at Youngker High School, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. The work schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role is crucial in maintaining a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient environment for students. The position requires the ability to work independently and comfortably alone. Wage will be determined by the Classified Salary Schedule and experience.

Requirements

Less than a high school diploma
MSDS and blood born pathogens training
Less than one year experience in custodial work is preferred
Ability to communicate and work well with staff, parents and children.
Vacuum Cleaning
Chemicals
General hand tools
Must be comfortable and able to work alone.
Ability to wear respirator and gloves as needed
Willingness to be an integral member of a successful team.
Dedication to provide the highest level of service.
Desire to be at work and on time daily.
Adherence to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

May be required to alter working hours to perform regular assigned duties
Deliver equipment and supplies
Cleans restrooms as needed
Setting-up and taking-down of all school-related activities and events.
Moves furniture and equipment as needed
Raises the United States Flag before school and retires the flag after school hours.
Report’s safety hazards and the need for major and minor repairs.
Keeps grounds free rubbish.
Sweeps, vacuums, dusts, and empty trash as needed.
Cleans corridors, when warranted, during the day.
Assists the maintenance technician.
Assists with securing the buildings
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Communicate with Supervisor when problems occur.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
