About The Position

Jovie of Phoenix is looking for reliable, engaging, and safety-focused sitters to support families within your area. If you enjoy working with children (within the ages of 1YO - 13YO) and want a flexible role that fits your life, this is a great opportunity to gain experience, earn steady income, and make a positive impact. Assignments are matched within a 30-mile radius of your home to keep commutes reasonable.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of childcare experience, which may include nannying, babysitting for non-family clients, daycare, church nursery, camps, or similar roles
  • Family experience is welcome as additional background, but applicants must also have experience caring for children outside their own family
  • 2–3 childcare references, which may include a mix of professional and family references
  • CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation
  • Must be 18+
  • Availability for two consistent weekdays between 7AM–7PM
  • Comfortable with variable weekly hours (5–20 hrs/week typical)

Nice To Haves

  • Worked as a babysitter, daycare worker, nanny, or church nursery volunteer
  • Retired teacher or teaching professional
  • Known as the family’s favorite Auntie

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent, in-home care for infants, toddlers, and school-age children
  • Engage kids in age-appropriate, safe, and fun activities
  • Support daily routines: meals, naps, playtime, bedtime
  • Prepare bottles, snacks, and simple meals following family instructions
  • Transport children safely when needed (reliable vehicle required)
  • Maintain a safe environment and handle minor first-aid needs
  • Follow family preferences to ensure a great experience
