About The Position

The Part-Time Van Driver is a vital member of the Operations Team, which is responsible for designing and implementing efficient day-to-day systems and routines that contribute to a joyful school culture and the highest-levels of learning, instruction and organizational stewardship. The primary responsibility of the Part-Time Van Driver is to safely transport our students to and from school. This is a part-time position with opportunity for growth with the school and additional hours as needed.

Requirements

• Belief in the Brillante Academy mission, model and values
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience working in a school and/or with elementary aged students strongly preferred
• Team player with strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and relationship building skills
• Able to work bus schedule ( approximately Monday - Friday 6:00-8:00 AM AND 3:15-5:30 PM)

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting students to and from school via the Mcallen Van Route
• Taking daily bus attendance
• Building meaningful relationships with students, staff and parents
• Communicating behavior challenges to manager/school leader
• Supporting arrival and dismissal processes
• Performing other related tasks as assigned
