About The Position

Huntington Learning Center is seeking passionate teachers for a flexible, year-round, part-time teaching opportunity. We offer individualized tutoring to students of all ages in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Study Skills, and Test Prep. The role involves greeting students, teaching 1-1 without take-home lesson planning, making materials accessible, helping students set goals, providing life-long success tools, and collaborating with full-time staff.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree.
• A teacher's certification.
• Genuine care for and commitment to the success of students.
• The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of students.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a current or retired teacher.
• Passion for teaching reading comprehension and math skills 1-1.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and making a personal connection with each student.
• Teaching students 1-1 in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Study Skills, and Test Prep.
• Making materials accessible and relevant to students of diverse backgrounds and interest levels.
• Helping students set and achieve realistic goals.
