The College of Agricultural Sciences in the Department of Entomology is seeking applicants for a Part-Time Summer Research Assistant. The research focus is on the effects of plant defenses on arthropod communities. This role involves fieldwork, collecting plant volatiles, working with insects/arthropods, and assisting in colony and plant care. Candidates should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, willing to work flexible hours, enjoy both lab and outdoor work, and be able to work independently. The position is primarily located at the Kersch-Becker Lab at the Agricultural Sciences and Industries Building on the University Park campus and at Rock Springs Research station. While most work is during weekdays and normal working hours, occasional data collection may require weekends or odd hours. The role offers an opportunity to build a resume and gain research experience.
