About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Part-Time Shoe Merchandiser / Runner who will contribute to a culture that thrives on delivering a personalized customer experience, maintaining a team-first mentality, learning and adapting to change, taking pride in their work, and acting with honesty and integrity. This role involves retrieving shoes from stock, processing returns, assisting in shoe departments, engaging with customers, and ensuring technology is functional. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and basic calculation skills. The schedule may include varied hours, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Follow all safety procedures and perform job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), preferred
1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred

Responsibilities

Effectively retrieve shoes from back stocks and transport them to the staging area for sales associates
Process unpurchased items and customer returns to their correct locations while maintaining an organized work environment to ensure inventory accuracy
Assist in Men’s, Women’s, and Youth shoe departments as needed
Proactively engage customers with a warm, welcoming demeanor and offer immediate assistance
Ensure all necessary technology and devices are prepped and functional prior to the start of each shift
Partner closely with Specialty Shop Managers to identify and address urgent department needs
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information clearly to customers and team members
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levers of the organization
The ability to perform basic calculations
Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team
