About The Position
BOTA Tapas & Paella Bar is seeking a professional, energetic, and guest-focused Part-Time Server to join our team. The Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service while creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience for hotel guests and local patrons alike.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
- Knowledge of tapas, Spanish cuisine, wine, and cocktails is a plus
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
- Must possess or be able to obtain Washington State Food Handler and MAST permits
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and carrying items
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and busy restaurant environment
- Manual dexterity to operate POS systems and restaurant equipment
- Ability to safely navigate crowded dining and service areas
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and professionally
- Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to guest requests or concerns
- Prepare and process guest checks and payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
- Work cooperatively with kitchen, hotel, and management staff
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times
