About The Position

The Part Time Secondary Building Aide role at KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools (KPPS) is designed to support the efficient operation of the school. The aide will assist with student arrival, dismissal, lunch periods, and various student culture and operational tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring student safety and well-being while fostering a conducive learning environment. Complete all required criminal and child abuse background checks: PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, Cogent Federal Fingerprinting

Responsibilities

Manage the flow of students during arrival, dismissal, and lunch times, ensuring orderly transitions.
Assist with traffic control and pedestrian safety around the school premises.
Monitor student behavior and intervene as necessary to maintain discipline and safety.
Help set up and organize materials and equipment for school activities, events, and assemblies.
Assist with the distribution and collection of educational materials and supplies.
Perform routine tasks such as photocopying, filing, and inventory management to support administrative functions.
Provide support and guidance to students as they navigate the school environment.
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere by promoting respect and cooperation among students.
Familiarize with emergency procedures and protocols, including fire drills and lockdowns.
Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, following established protocols and guidelines.
