LeafSpring School at Ballantyne is looking for a responsible, caring, and safety-focused Part-Time School Bus Driver to join our team. Our Bus Drivers play an important role in the LeafSpring experience by ensuring children arrive at school, field trips, and other activities safely, comfortably, and on time. We are looking for someone who is dependable, patient, professional, and enjoys being part of a team that puts children first. Work-life balance is a priority with a part-time schedule. No late evening or weekend shifts. Meals provided daily. Positive, team-driven culture focused on collaboration and learning. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting children to and from LeafSpring School and approved activities while providing a warm, welcoming, and professional experience for every child. You will work closely with school leadership and teachers to ensure transportation runs smoothly and that all safety and licensing requirements are followed.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
Clean and satisfactory driving record
At Least 21 years old
Ability to successfully complete all required background checks, drug screening, and licensing requirements
Ability to safely assist children entering and exiting the vehicle
Dependable, punctual, patient, and safety-minded
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations
Ability to follow established safety procedures and transportation protocols
High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Previous experience driving a school bus, childcare transportation vehicle, or passenger vehicle preferred
Experience working with children is preferred

Responsibilities

Safely transport children to and from school, field trips, and approved activities
Follow all state, local, and company transportation regulations and safety procedures
Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure children are properly seated, supervised, and secured according to applicable regulations
Complete required transportation and attendance documentation accurately
Maintain accurate passenger counts and follow established loading and unloading procedures
Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, families, and children
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized bus environment
Report vehicle concerns, maintenance needs, accidents, incidents, or safety concerns immediately
Assist with loading and unloading children while maintaining constant awareness of their safety
Follow established bus routes, schedules, and transportation procedures
Provide a calm, positive, and respectful environment for children while riding the bus
Maintain confidentiality regarding children and families
Assist with other transportation-related duties as assigned by school leadership
