About The Position

The Tempur-Pedic Part-Time Sales Associate provides excellent customer service while selling and marketing Tempur-Pedic products. The associate also serves as a member of management when the Store Manager is unavailable, which may involve opening or closing the store and covering management duties.

The role assists with the store’s overall performance and provides leadership throughout the sales process. It includes continuing to perform Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level, helping identify and resolve store or sales-team issues, and supporting merchandising and company programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with high-end luxury and/or custom products.
• Strong sales skills in a consultative environment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, direct, and train others in a store setting.
• Skilled in current best-practice retail methods, procedures, and standards.
• Ability to collaborate and both lead and follow.
• Flexibility in work schedule to reflect store hours and patterns.
• Fluency with current retail software and computer systems.
• Ability to stand for lengthy periods and occasionally lift items, with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining responsibility for the overall performance of the store.
• Provide leadership in the sales process, including customer service and care, maintaining a professional appearance, following company policies and procedures, and maintaining the Tempur Sealy brand.
• Perform all Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level.
• Assist the Store Manager in identifying deficiencies and solving problems in the store and within the sales team.
• Assist the Store Manager with merchandising, implementing company programs, and other needs.
• Resolve sales-team problems and direct larger issues to the Store Manager.
• Serve as a member of management when the Store Manager is unavailable, including potentially opening or closing the store and covering management duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
