About The Position

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking a Part Time Route Service Representative in Oklahoma City, OK. This role operates Monday-Friday from 8am to 1pm. The essential functions include reporting to work on time and prepared, performing assigned duties within capabilities, and maintaining a positive, professional, and supportive attitude. The role also emphasizes working collaboratively as a team member to contribute to a respectful and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Proficient in verbal communication with internal and external contacts.
  • Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Extensive use of phone and handheld device (PC).
  • Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, weekends, holidays, on call and overtime.
  • Prolonged standing/sitting/walking/driving.
  • Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds; may occasionally need to lift 40 pounds; carrying up to 15 pounds for several minutes at a time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with clients, supervisors and peers.
  • Vision-requires constant mental visual attention to details as well as ability to see well in limited light scenarios.
  • Balancing, Bending/kneeling, Pushing/pulling, Reaching/twisting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic route services, including picking up specimens and verifying test requisitions and specimen submission.
  • Deliver specimens to designated laboratory/distribution sites using appropriate handling, storage, and transportation methods to maintain specimen integrity.
  • Establish and maintain positive client relations.
  • Complete and submit administrative forms such as daily route logs, Client Concern forms, supply requisitions, and special transportation forms.
  • Assist with packing specimens for transport to the Core Laboratory.
  • Maintain compliance with safe driving regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures.
  • Adhere to DLO policies and procedures, including attendance, compliance, and safety.
