About The Position

Bellwether Coffee is seeking a Part-Time Roasting & Production Associate to join their Coffee team. This role will report to the Senior Director of Coffee Operations and be responsible for roasting coffee daily to meet production demands for retail, wholesale, and sample programs. Key duties include bagging, shipping, maintaining roast logs, and equipment upkeep. The ideal candidate will be efficient in roasting and order fulfillment, collaborate with the Coffee Team and other departments, assist in process improvements, and perform other necessary duties. This is a part-time role, approximately 20 hours per week, primarily on weekdays, with flexibility for evenings and weekends being a plus. As a part-time role, it is unbenefited.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills, inclusive of written and verbal communication
• 1-2 years experience in either production, manufacturing, shipping and/or warehouse fulfillment
• Self-starter who operates with a high level of autonomy, organization, and follow through
• Highly adaptable, quick to respond
• Ability to multitask, adjust the plan, and thrive in a fast-paced workflow
• Proven ability to collaborate in team environment
• Solution oriented problem solver
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a barista or in a roasting & production environment is a plus
• Experience with shipping software a plus

Responsibilities

• Roasting coffee on a Bellwether roaster
• Weighing, measuring, filling, bagging, and preparing customer orders
• Utilizing UPS system, printing labels, shipping product, tracking orders and resolving any shipping issues
• Organizing green coffee and production areas continuously
• Performing physical counts to support inventory management
• Operating and maintaining Bellwether roasting equipment; alerting and coordinating with cross functional teams when technical issues need to be resolved
