About The Position
National University is seeking a student-focused Part-Time Reference Librarian to join their fully remote library team. In this role, the librarian will provide high-quality reference and research support to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students through chat, text, phone, email, and virtual appointments. The position involves assisting students with research questions, conducting one-on-one consultations, supporting webinars and instructional sessions, and contributing to an exceptional online library experience that promotes student success.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution
- 3+ years of professional librarian experience
- Strong reference, research, and customer service skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and technology skills
- Must work Pacific Time Zone hours (Sunday until 8:00 PM Pacific, Monday-Thursday until 9:00 PM Pacific)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in academic libraries and/or online library services
- Experience with Springshare LibAnswers
