Part-Time Promotions Assistant
About The Position
American General Media is seeking outgoing, reliable, and energetic team members to join our Radio Promotions Crew. This role is ideal for individuals who love music, live events, social media, and being where the action is. The position involves representing AGM radio stations at various events such as concerts, festivals, bars, community events, and live broadcasts. It is not a typical office job, with most shifts occurring during evenings and weekends. The role offers opportunities to gain hands-on radio and media experience in a fun, fast-paced environment, with potential for growth within media, promotions, and entertainment.
Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Comfortable talking with the public
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift and move promotional equipment
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, concerts, holiday events, and occasional early morning remote broadcasts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Work up to 28 hours per week
Nice To Haves
- Social media knowledge is a plus
- Experience in promotions, customer service, events, hospitality, nightlife, or media is helpful but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in radio, marketing, or promotions is beneficial but not required
Responsibilities
- Represent AGM radio stations at concerts, festivals, bars, community events, and live broadcasts
- Set up station tents, banners, prize wheels, giveaways, and event displays
- Interact with listeners and create a fun, engaging atmosphere
- Assist with social media content including photos, videos, reels, and live event coverage
- Help execute station contests and promotions
- Drive station vehicles and assist with transporting equipment when needed
- Work alongside on-air talent, DJs, sales teams, and event partners
