AB Facility Services is looking for a part-time Day Cleaner for a client located in Norfolk, VA. This role is responsible for picking up trash outdoors as well as cleaning indoors. Those who are interested must be available to work on the weekends.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must meet all requirements to work legally in the U.S.
- Must be available on weekends.

Responsibilities
- Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities.
- Picks up trash outdoors.
- Cleans indoors.
- Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs.
- Maintains cleanliness of public areas, restrooms, exhibit buildings, offices, and staff facilities according to established cleaning schedules.
- Empties trash and recycling receptacles, replaces liners, and ensures waste is disposed of safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, dusts, and sanitizes high-touch surfaces to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and animals.
- Follows all safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with zoo-specific guidelines around animal habitats.
- Reports maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly while delivering high-quality customer service and professionalism.
