About The Position
Market 32/Price Chopper Supermarkets is accepting applications for part-time opportunities in the Burlington, Vermont market. Openings include Grocery, Front End, Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli/Food Service, Produce, and Floral departments. Most hiring activity occurs on the front end and night crew, but individuals with previous experience may be hired into other departments. Price Chopper/Market 32 has a history of promoting from within and posts all full-time positions internally, offering the potential for a long career with drive, motivation, and a desire to help customers. Applications can specify up to three departments of interest or select "any department." Applications are reviewed when hiring needs arise, and selected candidates will be contacted for an interview via phone or email. Unselected candidates will be notified via email.
Requirements
- Must be reliable and honest.
- Must possess integrity and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to read and write at the 8th grade level.

- Previous experience in specific departments may lead to hiring in those areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide Six-Star Service at the Front-End.
- Prepare homemade artisan breads in the Bakery department.
- Fill prescriptions, offer health care counseling, and provide friendly and efficient service in the Pharmacy (for Registered Pharmacists or Pharmacy students).
- Arrange floral displays, assist customers with custom bouquets, and advise on plant care in the Floral department.
- Slice meats, prepare fresh salads, and make sandwiches in the Deli/Food Service department.
- Stock and merchandise General Merchandise, including first aid and seasonal products.
- Stock, merchandise, and create displays in the Grocery department.
- Provide high-quality fresh meat to families in the Meat department.
- Educate guests about the benefits of produce-rich diets in the Produce department.
- Provide fresh seafood and assist guests in buying, preparing, and serving seafood meals in the Seafood department.
