Requirements

• Current CPR certification and PPD documentation are required.
• Candidates must hold a current, unencumbered registered nurse license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a registered nurse is required, including at least one year of experience providing direct patient care as an RN in a long-term care setting.
• Candidates must have completed, or be willing to complete, Methods of Instruction (MOI) training.

Responsibilities

• Instructs a 75-hour Nurse Aide course, which may be offered during daytime and/or evening hours, and includes classroom lecture, skills laboratory instruction, and a minimum of 16 hours of supervised clinical training in a long-term care facility.
• May also serve as an evaluator for the administration of the written and performance components of the Kentucky Medicaid State Nurse Aide Exam upon successful completion of required evaluator training.
