Part Time Nanny
About The Position
A lovely family in Battery Park City is seeking a Part-Time Nanny for their 7-month-old, starting September 8, 2026. Care is needed approximately 30 hours per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 11:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Wednesday and Friday from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM. The schedule may vary slightly based on the parents' needs, with a minimum of 4-hour shifts. The family is looking for a warm, engaging nanny who enjoys supporting infant development through age-appropriate activities and outdoor experiences. Both parents will be working from the office most days, so the nanny will primarily be responsible for the child's care during working hours.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of paid, professional infant care experience
- CPR certified, or willing to become certified
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting
- Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
- English required
Nice To Haves
- Chinese and/or Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities
- Diaper changing
- Prepare meals and feed the child
- Support the baby's nap schedule
- Plan age-appropriate developmental activities
- Take the baby on stroller walks and outings to the park, playdates, and infant classes
- Complete light child-related housekeeping, including baby laundry and keeping toys organized
