Utah State University Eastern is seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to assist with daily operations in the Motor Pool and Surplus departments. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping vehicles clean and organized, enjoys working independently, and provides excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license to perform essential job responsibilities, such as driving university vehicles and transporting materials
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Clean university vehicles inside and out to maintain a professional appearance.
• Detail vehicles, including vacuuming, washing, waxing, and cleaning interiors.
• Inspect vehicles before and after reservations for cleanliness and damage.
• Assist with vehicle scheduling and reservations.
• Check vehicles in and out for faculty, staff, and approved users.
• Monitor fuel levels and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Maintain accurate vehicle records and mileage logs.
• Ensure the motor pool lot remains clean, organized, and presentable.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing surplus equipment and furniture.
• Help move, load, and unload surplus items.
• Maintain an organized warehouse and storage areas.
• Prepare items for transfer, sale, recycling, or disposal.
• Assist departments with surplus pickups and deliveries as needed.
• Keep inventory organized and accurately labeled.
