About The Position

The position is for a Part Time Mother’s Helper in San Diego, CA (92129), specifically in the Rolling Hills neighborhood. The role involves supporting a family with their 4-year-old son during evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate should enjoy spending time with children, be organized, and be willing to assist with child-related care around the home. The primary goal is to support the mother, enabling her to have more quality time with her son while ensuring his daily needs are met. The schedule is set for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This is an ongoing position, starting as soon as possible, with a compensation of $20 per hour for approximately 13 hours per week.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Minimum 2+ years of childcare experience with preschool-aged children
• CPR certified (or willing to obtain)
• Ability to pass background and social media checks
• At least 2 references from paid childcare experience
• Someone who is patient, organized and attentive

Nice To Haves

• Experience with educational or developmentally engaging activities preferred

Responsibilities

• Support the mother with her child’s care needs
• Serve and monitor meals (including hand-feeding Indian food when needed)
• Clean up after meals
• Light household tasks related to the child (laundry, organizing bedroom and play areas)
• Help with bathing when needed
• Engage child in educational and constructive play/activities if and when mother steps away for a moment
• Communicate with family daily
